1st Day

ISTANBUL ARRIVAL & OLD TOWN TOUR:

Upon arrival meeting with your tour guide at Istanbul Airport

We will commence with sightseeing, covering the following

  • Istanbul City Walls (Admission is not required – passing by coach view only), it boasts several impressive castles a fortification. Massive walls of ancient Constantinople, built by the Emperor Theodosius II over 1500 years ago, are in many places still standing.
  • Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque) (Admission is not required – indoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), a 16th century’s religious center and the only mosque in Istanbul with 6 minarets.
  • Hippodrome square (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 20min suggested time), where horse carriage and gladiator fights took place during the Byzantian Empire. It is decorated today with an Egyptian Column, Serpentane Column.
  • Hagia Sophia Mosque (Admission is not required – indoor walking orientation – 60min suggested time), a unique combination of Christianity and Islam religion in the same holding place.
  • Topkapi Palace Museum (Admission is included – indoor&outdoor walking orientation – 90min suggested time) – a museum palace with a wide collection of Porcelains, Treasuries, religious collect peace. It is the first Great Imperial Palace of Ottoman Dynasty.
  • Grand Bazaar (Admission is not requied – indoor shopping stop – 120min suggested time), which has more than 4000 shops selling local products handicrafts.

ISTANBUL PIERRE LOTTI HILL & KARAKOY & TAKSIM TOUR:

After breakfast we will commence with sightseeing, covering the following

  • Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Mosque (Admission is not required – indoor walking oriantation – 45min suggested time), he was both a friend and standard bearer for the Prophet Muhammed, and was martyred during the first Arab siege of Constantinople (674-678). The mosque was erected on the instruction of Fatih Sultan Mehmet II, five years after he seized Constantinople for the Ottomans in 1453.
  • Pierre Loti Hill with cable car (Admission of cable car ticket is included – outdoor walking orientation – 45min suggested time), the famous hill entittled with the name of Pierre Loti, a famous French writer, is reached on getting to this ridge on which the perfect view of Golden Horn can be watched. The real name of Pierre Loti, who lived in Istanbul for long years and was a real Istanbul lover
  • Karakoy Town (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 120min suggested time), it is a lively harborside neighborhood where extraordinarary cafes are interwined with neighborhood patisseries and family businessess. Ottoman Era buildings adorned with street art include studios and boutiques of young fashion designers.
  • Tophane Food Experience (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 90min suggested time), we will have a walking tour among the narrow streets of Tophane neighborhood to try famous Turkish desserts Baklava, Fish breads, Sea mussels, Coffees and Teas.
  • Istiklal Street & Taksim Square (Admission is not required – outdoor walking orientation – 120min suggested time), it is the beating heart of the city, the three million people that pass it every day, can make it rather challenging to traverse. It serves as a microcosm of Istanbul itself and although chains and fast-food joints are starting to edge out more old-fashioned shops, there’s still traces of old Istanbul here.

ISTANBUL ASIA SIDE TOUR:

After breakfast we will commence with sightseeing, covering the following

  • Ortakoy Village (Admission is not required – outdoor walking orientation – 60min suggested time), it is located by the Bosphorous coastline on the European side resemles a string of villages, each with their own individual character and attractions
  • Camlica Hill “Asian side of Istanbul” (Admission is not required – outdoor walking orientation – 45min suggested time), it is a place with two hill overlooking the Bosphorous and the Marmara sea, one of the most favored promenades in Istanul, and also one of the highest and most charming places in the city.
  • Kadikoy Town “Asian side of Istanbul” (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 120min suggested time), Kadıköy is a laid-back residential neighborhood on Istanbul’s Asian shore, famed for its bustling fish and produce market offering Turkish pizza, olives, stuffed mussels, and more. On curving streets, buildings with colorful murals are home to indie boutiques, hip cafes, and Anatolian eateries.
  • Kuzguncuk Town “Asian side of Istanbul” (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 120min suggested time), it s a colorful Bosphorous district on the Asian coast. It is a pretty neighborhood surrounded by huge plane trees, mansions and wooden houses, where you can feel the traditional Bosphorous life. The most distinctive feature of Kuzguncuk is that people from different belifefs, which can also call it “the brotherhood of religions”, live together with great neighborly relations, and many mosques, churches and synagogues are lined up side by side reflecting this feature.

ISTANBUL – SOGUT – BURSA EXCURSIONS:

  • Ertugrul Gazi Makam (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), he is the leader of Kayi Tribe, the frontier of the Seljuks Empire. Kayi Tribe is the bravest, wisest, smartest tribe. Ertogrul Gazi is the ancestor of the Ottoman Empire, which has an important place in the Turkish world.
  • Pay respect to Osman Gazi & Orhan Gazi (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), find the toms of Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi (founders f the Ottoman Empire) in Tophane Park in Bursa. Built in an Ottoman baroque style by Sultan Abdulaziz in 1863 after the original tombs were destroyed by an earthquake in 1855, the lavishly decorated tombs pay homage to the first sultan of the Ottoman Empire, his son and their family.
  • Bursa Grand Mosque “Ulu Camii” (Admission is not required – indoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), it is a prominent landmark in Bursa’s downtown. With its two towering minarets and 20domes, the building is one of themost imperissive and important in Bursa. Grand Mosque is considered the fitfth most important mosque in Islam after those in Mecca, Medina, Jerussalem and Damascus.
  • Silk Market “Koza Han” (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), Ottoman turks spun the local silk industry to international fame, and by the 16th and 17th centuries Bursa silk had become a highly desirable luxury throught Europe, North Africa and parts of Asia.
  • Green Mosque & Green Mausoleum (Admission is not required – indoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), it is also known as Mosque of Mehmet I, is a part of larger complex located on the east side of Bursa. Former capital of Ottoman Turks before they captured Constantinople in 1453. The complex consists of a mosque, turbe, madrasah, kitchen and bath.

BURSA VILLAGE AND WATERFALL TOUR – ISTANBUL:

  • Saitabat Village & Waterfall (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 90min suggested time), Saitabat Village is located on the outskirts of Uludag Mountain. Waterfall was formed by pouring the collected waters down a canyon in Uludag Mountain.
  • Cumalikizik Village (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 90min suggested time), it is an early ottoman settlement area. The village has maintained its historical character and presents one of the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture.
  • Misi Village (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 60min suggested time), this village has a history of 2000 years old and intertwined with a nature. Today this town famous with its organic wines and olives.

ISTANBUL TWO CONTINENTS TOUR – DEPARTURE:

  • Bosphorous Cruise Tour (Admission is included – private charter boat – 70min suggested time), here, you will be able to soak in the sights and sounds of Turkey’s Asia and Europe sector as you cruise through this water channel that is the very beat of life in Istanbul.
  • Spice Bazaar (Admission is not requied – indoor shopping stop – 90min suggested time), no visit to Istanbul is complete without stopping by the atmospheric Spice Bazaar. It is built in 1664, as a part of Yeni Camii complex, it is known in Turkish as Mısır Çarşısı and sometimes translated to Egyptian Bazaar.
  • Rustem Pasha Mosque (Admission is not required – indoor walking oriantation – 30min suggested time), one of the great geniuses of not only the Ottoman history but world history as well, Mimar Sinan completed his last work almost five-hundred years ago, and yet the traces he left in Istanbul are still very much alive.
  • Fener & Balat Neighborhoods (Admission is not required – outdoor walking oriantation – 60min suggested time), Fener and Balat are two historically rich neighborhoods in Istanbul located along the Golden Horn. Starting in 1492, Balat grew to become a thriving cultural melting pot of Sephardic Jews from Spain, Greek and Armenian Christians, and Muslims. During our walking tour, we take a break in this vibrant neighborhood and enjoy watching people in their everday activities.
